Etching is when we use the laser engraving machine to scratch the surface of glassware or glass items. The effect is both subtle and elegant, and is completely permanent. The penetration for etching is shallow which makes it safe for most glassware.
We can engrave a variety of materials using our laser machines. We frequently engrave on wood, leather, silicone, and acrylic products. These materials provide a clean and distinct engraving. Depending on the type of wood, you may see a burn-like edge to the engraving and a wonderful campfire smell to go with it.
Sandblasting is similar to etching at first glance, but it’s the detail that makes this treatment a step above. Sandblasting is a hand-done process that involves blowing sand at a glass item to provide a deeper engraving than laser etching. You can feel the depth of the engraving and sandblasting can also provide sharper lines than etching.
If you’re looking to give a lux gift, then sandblasting an item and choosing to do a color fill is the way to go. A bottle of wine can be turned into a beautiful memento when sandblasted and filled with a gold inlay. This treatment is available on glass only and is not dishwasher safe.
We have the ability to cut both wood and acrylic with our machines. This opens up a world of possibilities in regards to signage for both personal events and commercial use. If you can dream it, we can make it.
Many popular items like Yetis, tumblers, flasks, and water bottles have a paint coating that we can laser engrave away. This exposes the stainless steel beneath which provides a fantastic and eye-catching metallic effect to the design. This treatment is permanent and does not jeopardize the integrity of the item engraved.
When it comes to metal products we do a technique called metal marking. This involves coating the item in a marking spray and laser engraving it to create a chemical bond that produces a strong black color. This effect is permanent and will not fade. The penetration is shallow, ensuring the metal’s integrity.

Though we are Everything Etched there are certain materials that require a different treatment than laser engraving, or can even produce harmful chemicals when laser treated. We don't do sterling silver, marble, quartz, porcelain, PVC, or Carbon Fiber. We also cannot etch tempered glass due to the heat treatment it receives.
If you're selecting from our inventory a custom engraving order can typically be done in 2 days or less. For personal items standard turn around time is 5-7 days. This gives us time to properly measure and test the best way to engrave your item in our machines. We can rush your order or offer same day engraving in most cases with a rush fee.
It completely depends on your item, which is why we request an in-person evaluation of your product before quoting. But a good ballpark estimate for personal item would be a machine configuration fee that is $30 for simple items, $45 for complex items, and approximately $2 per square inch for laser engraving.
We do have the ability to do mobile engraving for parties and corporate events. This is best for smaller items like glassware. If you're looking to have someone come out to your location for a large custom art piece please contact us in the section below.
